Lessons Learned:
-When you melt candy canes, they are moldable!
Who doesn't have left over candy canes from Christmas, I DO! We used the mini canes. We put the candy canes as close as possible to the sticks and stuck them in the oven. We had to watch carefully but as soon as you see them starting to melt you take them out and pull them together so they are touching. Tell cool REALLY fast, so have a helper to get them all before the are cool. Then we melted white chocolate and filled in the centers of the hearts. We also put colored sugar and a candy heart (like a conversation heart) in them. They turned out really cute and weren't to shabby!
